Know ye the father

 Meditation John 8:13-20

1. The Pharisees said that the record of CHRIST is not true as he is bearing record of himself. (V13)
2. Jesus replied unto them that his record is true though he bears it of himself as he knew where he came from and where he goes though others can never say where he comes from and where he goes. (V14)
3. He told them that they judge according to flesh and that he judges no man. (V15)
4. He said even if he judge his judgement is true because he is not alone but he and the father who sent him. (V16)
5. It is written in the law that the testimony of two men is true. ( V17)
6. Jesus said he and his father bears witness about him. (V18)
7. They asked him about his father for which Christ said they neither know him nor his father. For if they know him they will know the father too. (V19)
8. Jesus spoke about these words boldly but no man laid their hands on him as his time did not come yet. (V20)

 LIFE APPLICATION:

Today I was lead in my spirit to share something from the scriptures on who our heavenly father is.

Jesus said,
Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
John:8:19

Most of don't have a good earthly father to compare and comprehend on how our heavenly father look and feel like.

This makes us have a hazy picture of how the heavenly father is.

John writes,

I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.

I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one.

I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

1 John:2:13

There are stages of spiritual maturity as revealed by John...
1. A child knowing the warmth of a father.
2. Young men who abide in the word and overcome the enemy.
3. Fathers who have known the one that is from the beginning.

Today God put in my heart to share the attributes of our heavenly father.

1. God is a father to the fatherless:

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Psalm:68:5

2. He pitieth for us as we fear him.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
Psalm:103:13

3. God as a father delights in us.

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Proverbs:3:12

4. He is our father who bought us, made us and established us when we were lost in the wilderness.

Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
Deuteronomy:32:6

5. This father God instructs us and keep us as the Apple of his eye.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Deuteronomy:32:10

6. As the eagle stirred its nest to lead it's young to fly so does the Lord does for us that we will ride on high places.

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
Deuteronomy:32:11

So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Deuteronomy:32:12

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
Deuteronomy:32:13

7. God himself says that he is a father to us.... whenever we go to him weeping and crying he hears us. He leads us by the way of rivers and we shall not stumble.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
Jeremiah:31:9

8. Father God loves us.

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
John:16:27

9. He is a merciful father.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke:6:36

10. Your Father in heaven is concerned of your needs.

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luke:12:30

11. Father God loves us so much that we are called the sons of God.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1 John:3:1

12. God did not love us passively... He loves us passionately to give his only son Jesus Christ to die for us at the cross.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John:3:16

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John:3:17

13. Father God has given all authority to his son Jesus CHRIST that we can reach the Father God through him.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
John:3:35

14. He is a giver of good gifts.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James:1:17

15. He is a faithful God. He keeps his promises to generations.

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Deuteronomy:7:9

These verses are taken from the Holy Bible.  The WORD of GOD cannot lie. Dear Child of God, know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Do you feel,
1. You are not loved by God?
2. Does circumstances make you feel God does not care for You?
3. Do you think God is sitting on his throne somewhere and not concerned about You?
4. Do you think God is distant from You?
5. Do you feel your heavenly father is unjust to You?
6. Do you feel his love is conditional and you need to be more righteous to gain his love?

These are a few lies that are aimed at our hearts by the devil, arising straight from hell.

Dear Child of God.... one more secret I can tell you with great confidence. You can never be cast away from this father, when you go to him in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Christ himself was forsaken by the father that we might not be forsaken. Christ himself had paid the price of being forsaken of the father, that we have access to the throne of grace.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Matthew:27:46

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews:4:16

Fight it with these scriptures... You are a CHOSEN GENERATION... whom God himself has chosen to be a FATHER...Enjoy the warmth of the father in GOD.....  dear Child and be filled with peace everlasting.
MAY GOD REVEAL HIMSELF to you more. God bless you all.

The blood covenant : part 1; meditation John 3:9-21

1. Nicodemus asks Christ how all these things can happen as he had not experienced them personally.  V9
2. Jesus was amazed as being a teacher of the Jews how he could not comprehend it. V10
3. Jesus said that he spoke of the things what he know and testified on what he had seen v11
4. Jesus asks if things of Earth itself we are unable to believe,  then how can we believe things of heaven. V12
5. No man has ascended up to heaven and came back, except Christ, as he is the one who came down from heaven. V13
6. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so Christ had to be lifted up V14
7. If we believe in Christ we do not perish but have eternal life. V15
8. Christ goes on to explain further that God gave his only son Jesus Christ that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  V16
9. God did not send his son to condemn us but to save us. V17
10. If we believe in Christ we are not condemned. But if we do not believe in Christ we are already condemned, because we did not believe in God's only son. ( God's plan of redemption) (V18)

1. We are condemned because the light of Christ came into the world, but men loved evil deeds more that they hated their secret sins (darkness)  being brought to the light and are dealt with ( V19,20)
12. But if we do the truth then we come to the light that it will be manifest that we are made of God.

Again because of the volume of the study I am breaking Today's portion into two parts.
1. Part 1- God's plan of redemption as portrayed in old testament.
2. Part 2- Freedom from Guilt and Condemnation

Life Application 1:
1. Jesus was amazed how Nicodemus could not comprehend the things of God because he was a master of the Jews and it is written throughout the old testament about being born again, yet his understanding was not opened up to it. (V9,10)

How was God's plan of redemption portrayed in old testament?
1. When the first man sinned God coated them skin... meaning blood was shed to cover the nakedness of sin.

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Genesis:3:21

In the New testament God calls us to be clothed with his righteousness.

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation:3:18

2. The blood of Abel spoke against sin, similarly the blood of CHRIST speaks on our behalf.

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Genesis:4:10

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.
Hebrews:12:24

3. Blood was offered as an atonement of sins in the old testament.
And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.
Exodus:30:10

Christ shed his own blood as redemption for our sins.
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Hebrews:9:12

4. It is written that there is no remission of sins without blood.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Leviticus:17:11

Christ gave himself as an atonement for our sins.
Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Hebrews:9:25

5. Boaz married Ruth a gentile as a symbol of redemption. ( again a symbol of how CHRIST has redeemed us.

Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Ruth:4:5

As Boaz redeemed everything of Ruth, Jesus has redeemed us.
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans:3:24

The plan of God's redemption through CHRIST is scattered throughout the old testament... May the Spirit of God reveal more.

Life Application 2:
1. All of these Christ has seen and he has known, though Nicodemus was unable to accept the witness of Christ.  V11

2. All these things that were written and practiced in the old testament were of Earthly things given as a shadow of heavenly things. This is Why, Christ was perplexed when Nicodemus could not correlate them. (V12)

3. Christ is the one who came down from heaven and only he can explain the things of heaven to us. (V13)

Life Application 3:
1. Jesus moves on to explain that, as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness so Christ has to be lifted up. (V14)

Here Jesus again explains God's plan of salvation through him.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Numbers:21:8

The fiery serpent denotes the curse of every man. Whoever beheld the serpent that was lifted up on the pole got healed.

So it will be that whoever looks up Christ who hung on the cross as curse, will be saved.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Galatians:3:13

This is what CHRIST explains in (v15,16) that God gave his only son Jesus Christ, to be hung on the cross taking up the curse of the world, that when we look up at this cross, believing him as our saviour from sin and curse, we shall not perish or die in our sins but live a life everlasting.

1. If you are born again  but still under the bondage of curse, look up to Christ as he became a curse for you. Because, our curse has been nailed on the cross we shall not perish but have everlasting life.

2. If you are not sure if your sins are forgiven, you can look up to the cross believing that jesus died and shed his blood as a ransom for your sins and you shall be saved.

May the Spirit of God lead you into more truth from his word. God bless you.

If you want to accept Christ as your personal savior and Lord, you can repeat this prayer with me,believing with all your heart that CHRIST was made a  curse on the cross.

Dear Father,
I come Into your presence in the name of Jesus Christ.  I believe in my heart and confess now with my mouth that Jesus, you died for me on the cross for my sins and nailed every of my curse on it. Wash me and cleanse me by your blood that I shall not perish but have everlasting life, through CHRIST.  I invite you to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you for answering me. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

An Insight into the book of Hebrews - Chapter 2

This chapter clearly explains, the plan of salvation of how Christ suffered for our sins and redeemed us by his blood. This blog is intended to make the understanding of the word of God a little easier. Hence, I urge you to meditate this Hebrews Chapter-2, straight from the Holy Bible, and use this post only as an aid for better understanding of the scriptures. Also, take a glance of An insight into the book of Hebrews - Chapter 1, for better continuity. Be blessed.

Be Serious about your Salvation:
  • We should give heed to the things that we have heard. (refer Hebrews Chapter 1) or else, at any time we might let them  slip. (Heb 2:1)
  • In the past, even the words spoken by angels were considered so important that every transgression and disobedience to that word was judged and punished. (Heb 2:2)
  • But, in later times, the message of salvation was spoken by the Lord himself; (Heb 1:2). It was also confirmed to us, by them that heard Christ speak. (Heb 2:3)
  • God himself bore witness and proved the words of Christ, with signs, wonders, miracles and by the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to his own will. (Heb 2:4)
  • Then how much more we need to be serious of the salvation through God`s only son, Jesus Christ Of Nazareth? How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? (Heb 2:3)
Man made to be a little lower than angels:
  • God did not subject the world unto angels. (Heb 2:6)
  • But God has put all things in subjection under man`s feet, though  all things are not yet under him. (Heb 2:8)
  • God has made man a little inferior to angels. Yet he has crowned him with glory and honor, setting him above all of God`s creation. (Heb 2:6,7)
  • This is what is written in one place about man, revealing the position of man and angels; "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:" (Heb 2: 6,7)
Jesus Christ took the form of man so that he can taste death for us:
  • Jesus Christ took the human form, a form that is a little lower than the angels yet crowned with glory and honor, so that he can take the Suffering of death. ( Heb 2:9)
  • He took the human form, so that he can taste death for every men, by the grace of God. (Heb 2:9)
  • All things are made for Christ and by Christ. Yet, being the captain of salvation, God chose to perfect him through sufferings, so that he can bring many sons (people), into glory. (Heb 2:10)
  • He took a human form so that, he who sanctifies (Christ himself) and the one being sanctified (us) are all one. Hence, he is not ashamed to call us his brethren. (Heb 2:11)
  • This is what is written in verse 12 and 13 as, "I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me".
  • He did not take the form of angels, but took on him the form of a man, the seed of Abraham. (Heb 2:16)
  • In all things he took the form of his brethren, so that he can be a faithful and merciful high priest in all things pertaining to God and to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. (Heb 2:17)
Jesus` victory over death:

  • We, being children are in flesh and blood, Christ himself took the same form, so that through his death he can destroy the devil who had the power of death. (Heb 2:14)
  • Thus he is able to deliver anyone subjected to a lifetime bondage to the fear of death. (Heb 2:15)
  • Because he himself suffered being tempted and took victory over it he can help everyone of us who are being tempted too. (Heb 2:18)
Life application:

  1. We need to be serious of our salvation, as it is brought unto us by Christ himself.
  2. Through the sufferings of Christ, we have been made children of the most high God.
  3. Christ took all sufferings on the cross, that he can sanctify us by his blood.
  4. He took the form of a man, so that he can be a faithful and merciful high priest to reconcile for our sins.
  5. As children of the most high God, we need not be under a lifetime bondage to the fear of death. The power of death, the devil himself was DEFEATED, by the death of Christ.
  6. Last but not the least, Because Christ went through various temptations and overcame them, he is more than able and more than ready to help us out in our temptations too.
Dear Child of God, if you are under a lifetime bondage to the fear of death, or caught up with various temptations rest assure, we have a merciful and faithful high priest, who can deliver us from the pangs of the evil one. If you are a victim, please, repeat this prayer with me.

" Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the son of the most high God. I believe that you came in flesh and blood, so that you can sanctify me and give me victory over sin and death. Lord! I acknowledge that I am under the bondage of ------------------- (Ex: Sin, fear of death, drugs, self mutilation, shame, rejection, etc).  and I want to be set free from it. I strongly believe that you tasted death, that I can be free form the power of death, in its every form. I believe that you were tempted yet you took victory in all and  I believe you can help out in my temptations and weaknesses too. Wash me one more time by your blood. Cleanse me and make me whole. Thank you Jesus! for being the captain of my salvation and setting me free. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
Amen.
