Temple of the Most High God. Meditation John 2: 12-17

1. After this CHRIST went to capernaum and then to Jerusalem as the Jewish Passover was about to take place. ( v12,13)
2. In the temple he found people selling Ox, sheeps and doves and changers of money seated there. (V14)
3. Looking inside the temple, Jesus made a scourge with small cords and drove them all out, they that sold the oxen and doves and poured out the money of the money changers and overturned their tables. ( v15)
4. And he said unto them, to take those things thence and not to make his father's house a house of merchandise. (V16)
5. And his disciples remembered that which is written in the word that the zeal of the Lord has eaten Me up. (V17)

 Life Application:
1. If Jesus enters into his temple (ie. Us- you and me) what can he see?

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians:3:16

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians:6:19

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians:3:17

Our God is the same Yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The WORD of GOD says,
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Matthew:15:19

My brethren, my sisters, HOW IS YOUR HEART? How is your temple of God?
Allow the spirit of God to search your inner reins .... he will Speak to you.

2. How much does God value his temple?
A. God is there in his holy temple.

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Psalm:11:4

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psalm:18:6

B. We behold the beauty of the Lord, enquire of him and speak of his glory in his holy temple.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Psalm:27:4

The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
Psalm:29:9

C. The temple is the place of prayer.

When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
Jonah:2:7

What does GOD do when he sees his temple defiled?
1. According to the old testament people died when they defiled the tabernacle of God.

Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them.
Leviticus:15:31

2. The zeal of the Lord is kindled.

Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
Ezekiel:5:11

Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.
Ezekiel:5:13

The zeal of God had consumed him as his enemies have forgotten the works of God.

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Psalm:69:9

This is the prophetic fulfilment of what Christ did in John 2:2-5.

 Life Application 3:

Christ is God in flesh. One side, he is God full of zeal for his temple, that he could not stop making a scourge to cleanse the temple of GOD.

On the other hand, he is the Lamb of God, who came to shed his blood to cleanse the temple of yours and mine.

Hallelujah! Christ was scourged that our temple be cleansed.

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
Mark:10:34

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah:53:4

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah:53:5

Jesus took the chastisement of my peace. He was bruised that I will be cleansed inside out.

Dear Child of the most high God,
Today you might have defiled your temple with every filth the world can offer. But today is the day. Allow Christ to cleanse your temple. If not, there will be a day when he will come  with the scourge...Yes! There is a day of judgement . your situation will be miserable that day... Don't take the Grace of God for granted.

God bless you.

RECIEVING MIRACLES FROM CHRIST - MEDITATION on John 2: 1-11

1. There was a marriage in cana of Galilee and Mary the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited there. (V1,2)
2. When they wanted wine, Mary told them they have no wine ( v3)
3. Jesus answers Woman what do I have to do with thee? Mine hour has not yet come. (V4)
4. Mary instructs the servants to do what Jesus says. (V5)
5. Jesus tells the servants to fill the six waterpots of stone, kept there for purification of Jews with water. They filled it to the brim. (V6,7)
6. Jesus instructed them to draw out and give to the governor of the feast. (V8)
7. When the governor of the feast tasted the wine, he called the bride groom  and said.,
" Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now."
John:2:10
8. This is the first miracle Jesus did in Cana of Galilee and his disciples believed him. (V11)

Life Application:
1. Jesus wants to be a part of our daily affairs in life. For this he expects us to invite him into those areas of our lives that needs his touch.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation:3:20

He wants to sit with us and sup with us discussing our life issues with him. We don't need to carry heavy burdens of impossiblities when we have such a faithful friend for us.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION:
2. In this incident, I see Mary has a powerful intercessor. It is these intercessors who move the heart of God to do miracles. (V3)

Duties of an intercessor:
1. Taking responsibility for others problems to bring them to God's notice. (V3)
2. Tarrying in God's presence till his heart is moved to respond. (V4)
3. Believing and seeing by Faith that God is a God of impossibilities.
4. Instructing people to believe in Christ and to do what he instructs them to do. (V5)

Shortly, intercessors are great people standing between God and Man, with a strong will never to give up,  but an yielded spirit moving God's heart to do miracles for people sake.

 Life Application 3:
The battle was already complete in the Spiritual realm when Mary interceeded.
The physical victory depends on how well we hear the Voice of God and obey. (V5)

OBEDIENCE of the Servants:
If we are called to be the servants of God, let us make sure, we allow the Holy Spirit to fill our  Earthen vessels with the right kind of water and that too, to the brim.

It is the Holy Spirit who fills us with God's word and draw from us to give to others.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2 Corinthians:4:7
This treasure is that of the gospel of CHRIST.

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians:5:26

Here water means the word of God.

When this water of the word of God is drawn to be born to others, God changes it to be the choicest wine. ( V8-10)

In both these below verses, wine signifies prosperity.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Joel:3:18

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
Deuteronomy:33:28

But, it is also written in these verses about the Fountain that flows from the house of God and about the Fountain of Jacob which both signifies the BLOOD of CHRIST that is shed for a remission of sins. Please check out the verse below.

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
Zechariah:13:1

So putting it all together, the Holy Spirit  draws the gospel of CHRIST and bear it to people, from Earthen vessels, the servants of God filled to the brim, with the word.

This water, the GOSPEL OF CHRIST empowered by his BLOOD, when received becomes the choicest blessing in our lives.

I pray that the Spirit of God will open our eyes to get more deeper insight of the living waters, the word of God.

A NEW REVELATION OF CHRIST : Meditation John 1:43-51

1. Jesus the next day goes forth into Galilee and meets Philip and calls him to FOLLOW him. (V43)
2. Philip was of the same place as that of Andrew and Peter. (V44)
3. Philip meets Nathanael and says that they have met the person  whom Moses and Prophets have spoken spoken about and that, it is none but JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth. (V45)
4. The first impression of Nathaniel about Christ is that NO GOOD can come from Nazareth as it is a humble place. But Philip encourages him to come and see. (V46)
5. When Christ sees Nathanael, he look straight into his heart and tells that he is a person without guile. (V47)
6. Still Nathanael was not convinced and asked Christ when he knew him. Then, Christ said, his eyes saw Nathanael even when he was under the fig tree talking to Philip. (V48)
7. Then Nathanael believes and glorifies Christ as the SON of God and the King of Israel.
(V49)
8. Jesus said... that they will see greater things from then on, than the prophesy they heard. (V50)
9. He also said that from then on, their eyes will be opened to see angels ascending and descending from the son of Man, thus inviting him into the deeper waters. (V51)

Life Application:
1. Jesus called Philip to follow him.
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
Following Jesus is hearing to the shepherd's  voice and following him.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
John:10:4

What do we get following Jesus?
A. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew:4:19
If we follow Christ he will make us fishers of men.

B.  If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
John:12:26
We will be in the place where Christ will be.
As it is given in the verse below,
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians:2:6
We are seated in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus.

C. What does it take to follow Christ?
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew:16:24

Life Application 2:
1. Every person who met Jesus had a new revelation about Christ.  It was revealed to Philip that CHRIST was the one that Moses and the Prophets spoke about and he is the fulfilment of the Law. We can also comprehend  that any person who had an encounter with Christ could not stop but talk about him to others.
2. The initial  perception  about Christ for each individual varies greatly till we come and see Christ personally, to have an encounter with him.

Life Application 3:
1. When we come to CHRIST everything hidden has to open up to the light of Christ. ( 47-49)
2. He knows who we are inside out (v47). He knows our physical presence. (V48). He knows our notions and motives as it is written in

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Psalm:139:2

What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?
Job:7:17
And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?
Job:7:18

God sets his heart upon us. He visits us every morning.  He looks deep into our hearts if we really love him. He tries us every moment. Truely, he knows us and he cares for us.

3. He knows us more intimately than anyone else.

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Isaiah:49:14
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isaiah:49:15
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Isaiah:49:16
I believe this is the intimacy that Nathanael felt with Christ.

4. Again, another revelation to the person with a personal relationship with God. God revealed himself to Nathanael as the King of Israel. (V49)

5. Jesus calls them to much deeper waters. He speaks about their spiritual eyes being opened to see things of heaven.

What is angels ascending and descending from the SON of man?
Let us turn our bibles to Genesis 28:12,17;

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Genesis:28:12.
And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
Genesis:28:17
(If you are interested you can read the whole chapter to know more)

God reveals to me here as CHRIST being the GATE OF HEAVEN and the HOUSE OF GOD.

Hallelujah! Let the name of the LORD be glorified.

I pray that the spirit of God will minister unto you in a new way and Christ will reveal himself to you in a way that you have never seen before.

To GOD BE THE GLORY. Amen.

Abiding in Christ: A Meditation John 1:35-42

1. John the next day again confesses Jesus Christ of Nazareth as the Lamb OF GOD in front of his own disciples.  (V35, 36)
2. Hearing this witness of John two of his own disciples turned away from him to follow Jesus. ( v37)
3. Seeing them following, jesus asked them what they were seeking? The disciples asks him for his dwelling place?( v38)
4. They not only dwelt with him but also ABIDED with him for a day. ( v39)
5. One of the person to follow Jesus was Andrew. (V40)
6. The first thing he did once he was conviced himself, that Christ is the Messiah, he immediately informs his brother Simon Peter. ( v41)
7. When Andrew brought Peter to Jesus, he behold ( looks straight into his life) and prophesied on him, that he will no more be Simon the SON of Jona but he will be cephas...meaning a STONE. ( v42)

Life Application:
1. John had his own disciples, but still he never hesitated to glorify Christ in front of them. How are we when compared to John ?
2. Do we feel insecure when someone close to us leaves us and go? How do we react? V37.
3. We have decided to follow Christ. What will be our answer to the question WHAT SEEK YE?
4. The WORD of GOD says in psalms 91:1, that
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm:91:1
It is revealed to me that Jesus is the secret place of the most high, that the disciples dwelt.
5. The glory of CHRIST is so strong that you do not want to just dwell there, but you want to abide there all the day.
6. Oh, if we can only dwell in that secret place and abide in the presence of CHRIST, how much more can Christ reveal himself to us as he did for Andrew?
7. Immediately after he was revealed of Christ, Andrew started evangelizing to his brother Simon Peter, a close family member and brought him to Jesus.
8. When Peter came to Jesus, his life changed totally including his name.
Do we seek, dwell and abide in the presence of God so much, that we get deep revelations about Christ?
Do we advertise CHRIST and bring people to him?
How much our lives have changed after we met Christ as compared to Peter?

Let the spirit of God shed his lights into our hearts as he minister unto us, through these words. Amen.

JESUS CHRIST the LAMB OF GOD . A Meditation John 1:29-34

1. John the next day professes Christ as the LAMB OF GOD which takes away the sins of the world. ( v29)
2. Again John exalts Christ that he is the one to be preferred.  (V30)
3. John came to baptise with water that CHRIST will be made manifest to Israel (v31)
4. John says, Christ was revealed to him after the holy spirit descended from heaven like a dove on him and ABODE on him. (V32-33)
5. It was revealed to John that CHRIST is the one who baptiseth with the Holy Spirit. (V33)
6. John bears record that CHRIST is the SON of God.  (V34)

Life Application:
1. How is CHRIST revealed to us?
2. Can we see him as the LAMB OF GOD which takes away the sins of the world?
3. How is our perception  in exalting Christ?
4. Are we clear with the roles God has given us in the Kingdom of God as compared to John as he baptised with water?
5. What is our perception of Baptism?
6. Did we receive the baptism in water as a symbol of remission of sins?
7. Did we experience the much higher standard of being baptised by the HOLY SPIRIT which only Jesus can give?
8. Do we bear record that  Christ is the SON of GOD?

My dear brothers and sisters,
If you are not assured of your sins being washed away by the blood of the LAMB OF GOD, jesus Christ of Nazareth, today is the day. Confess your sins and allow him to cleanse you by his blood.

If you are a Christian assured of this experience of salvation but still has not been water  immersion baptised, make a decision to get it done the way CHRIST has set an example for us.

After the water immersion baptism, if you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, ask and you shall receive. It is CHRIST who baptises you with fire. Ask and you shall receive  the Holy Spirit to the fullness of your joy.

May God bless you.

John's witness: A Meditation: John 1: 16-28

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, kindly read the scriptures from the Holy Bible from John 1: 16-18, before scrolling further.
1. John's witness was so strong for God that the jews wanted to know who he really was. (V19)
2. He never denied who he was but also confessed who Christ was. (V20)
3. Though the levites and the priests pestered him asking who John really was... He stood on his ground and confessed that he was that voice crying in the wilderness and making straight the way for the Lord. ( v21-23)
6. The same people who tried to exalt John as Elias or prophet, when he denied, they started questioning his rights on giving baptism.  (V25)
7. But there too John glorifies Christ that, Christ is preferred more than him and he is not worthy to loosen the shoe laschets of CHRIST.
Life application:
1. How is our witness for CHRIST as compared to John?
2. Are we willing to exalt Christ in our lives or we deny him?
3. How do we react when people exalt us as compared to John?
4. How do we react when people question what we do for God as compared to John?
5. Do we know what we are called for and our position in the kingdom of God?
6. Do we glorify Christ that he alone is worthy and we are just unworthy and unfaithful servants of the most high God.?
Let us meditate and allow the spirit of God to search us in these areas. May God do the good work what he started in us.

The fullness of CHRIST: A Meditation John 1: 15-18

 1. John acknowledged that CHRIST is the one to be preferred. (V15)
2. Though CHRIST comes after him, he witnessed that CHRIST was there before him. (V15)
3. We have received more Grace because of  the fullness of CHRIST. (V16)
4. Moses has given law. But we get GRACE and truth through CHRIST. (V17). Law condemns. But Grace forgives. Law puts us in prison. But GRACE liberates us. (Romans 8:2)
5. CHRIST is the one that has come down from the bosom of the father. Hence nobody can reveal us the father more than CHRIST.  (V18)

Life application:
1. Are we acknowledging that CHRIST is the one to be preferred or are we trying to steal his glory.?(v15)
2. Are we willing to lift CHRIST higher or are we trying to lift ourselves?(v15)
3. Do we walk in the fullness of Grace in Christ or still condemning ourselves not trusting God's Grace? V16
4. Are we still under the law of Moses or Are we walking in the liberty of CHRIST? (V17)
5. Do we have a thirst to know more about the father through CHRIST JESUS. ? (V18)
